In Mother Russia, Games Play YOU!

Xsolla And Valve setup cash payments for Steam in Mother Russia

Xsolla, creators of the world’s largest payment network, and Valve, creators of various best-selling game franchises such as Counter-Strike, Half-Life, Left 4 Dead, Portal, and Team Fortress; and creater of the revolutionary (see what I did there) PC online distribution system, Steam, will today introduce a cash payments system for Steam, which players can access from kiosks spread throughout Russia.

There will be over 450,000 cash kiosks throughout Russia, inviting gamers and surly criminals to partake of the games, and/ or stacks of money sitting in the machines, depending on which camp you fall into.

Valve chose Xsolla, the leader in game monetization solutions in Russia, to help them make Steam more accessible to gamers in the Russian market, widening their global presence.

Jason Holtman of Valve (Steam) explains the move, ”We are thrilled to make Steam more accessible to the Russian market, and we believe Xsolla is an ideal partner to help make this happen”.
