CHRONO TRIGGER®, a game which needs no introduction – is now available for the iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad (says Itunes), so if you have an IOS device and don’t have something like a DS, go pick it up. My guess is that the IPAD version, if you have the IPAD, is the best option for a game like this. However, reading the reviews on Itunes, it sounds like it still works rather well on the Iphone/Ipod.

As you may already know, really cool versions of FF 1-4 are also available on the Itunes store, but us Android users are gonna have to wait…maybe forever, maybe not. This month Square Enix deputed the Square Enix Market, with ports of these and other games available or in the works for Android devices. One catch. For now it’s Japan Only! Here’s hoping they send us Gaijin some of that action in the next year or so.

Otaku Gaijin

Square boasts an intuitive touch-screen interface, as well as two additional areas from the Nintendo DS™ remake of the game – the Dimensional Vortex and Lost Sanctum for the IOS version of the game. This version is most probably a direct port of the DS title, with minor platform changes (touch interface, etc.). The game will retail for $9.99, which is half the price of the DS title ($19.99 on Amazon).
