This will easily be one of the more exciting weeks for the Nintendo update that I have ever seen. Why? Because on March 8, we finally get to play Mike Tyson’s Punch-Out!! on a handheld…well it will actually just be the version that was sans Mike Tyson called Punch-Out!! Featuring Mr Dream, but dammit it’s good enough. Besides, it’s not like I was ever able to make it far enough to fight Mike Tyson without the aid of a cheat anyway. It was somewhere around when you fight Soda Popinski the second time that I would usually start getting my ass beat, but it was always a blast playing it over and over again up to that point. Little Mac was more than just the every-man underdog that we all identify with, he was the first person to prove that real men wear pink (see cutscene that plays after every Title Bout). He also taught us that with a little stick-and-move, you can defeat dudes three times your size.
The other big thing to look forward to is the induction of SEGA Game Gear to the 3DS. Titles that will be making their debut along with this include Sonic the Hedgehog: Triple Trouble, Shinobi, and Dragon Crystal on March 15. This means that you no longer have to throw down 6 AA batteries just to power-up these games anymore!
